§ II — Our History

From Lagos to Warren Park.

A story that began in a small Lagos prayer fellowship in 1952 and now reaches more than 190 nations — and finds its newest expression in a primary school classroom in Harare.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God

The Redeemed Christian Church of God was founded in 1952 in Lagos, Nigeria by Pa Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi — a humble man called of God to lead a small fellowship that would, by faith, become one of the largest Christian movements of the modern era.

After Pa Akindayomi's passing in 1980, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye succeeded him as General Overseer in 1981. Under his leadership the church has expanded from a single Lagos parish into a global movement present in more than 190 countries — anchored by an unwavering commitment to holiness, prayer, and the Great Commission.

— Across Zimbabwe

RCCG Zimbabwe

RCCG Zimbabwe operates as a national body under RCCG African Continent 4 (AC4), with its headquarters at the Liberation Centre, 93 Kaguvi Street (corner Speke Avenue) in Harare. From there, parishes have been planted across Harare, Bulawayo and other Zimbabwean cities — each one carrying the same DNA of Word, Spirit, and mission.

National ministry directorates pursue community service, intercessory prayer, church growth and evangelism, young & youth development, and family & marriage affairs — equipping the local church to reach its city.

§ III — Vision & Mission

Six convictions that shape everything.

The official RCCG Mission & Vision — six points that direct our worship, our witness, and our walk together.

  1. To make heaven.

  2. To take as many people with us.

  3. To have a member of RCCG in every family of all nations.

  4. To accomplish #1 above, holiness will be our lifestyle.

  5. To accomplish #2 and #3 above, we will plant churches within five minutes' walking distance in every city and town of developing countries, and within five minutes' driving distance in every city and town of developed countries.

  6. We will pursue these objectives until every nation in the world is reached for the Lord Jesus Christ.

§ V — Ministries

A place for every season of life.

Five ministries — for men, for women, for young adults, for children, and for those called to lead worship — each one a doorway into deeper faith and authentic community.

Ministry 01 · Men

Redeemer's Men Fellowship (RMF)

The Redeemer's Men Fellowship is a Christ-oriented ministry for men, by men, who through the gospel of Jesus Christ emphasise the biblical importance of family, encourage personal growth, and reach out through love, prayer and fellowship.

Ministry 02 · Women

Good Women Fellowship (GWF)

The vision of the Good Women Fellowship:

  • Foster holistic development so that every woman will fulfil God's purpose for her life.
  • Encourage women to discover, develop and maximise their God-given abilities.
  • Empower women to become vessels of honour in their ministries, marital relationships, parenting and careers.
  • Foster unity amongst the women folk.
  • Demonstrate the love of God to various groups of people both at home and abroad.
Ministry 03 · Young Adults

YAYAM

YAYAM is a Bible-believing church community for young adults and youths, where teaching of the Word, prayer, and living a holy life are emphasised. It is a space where the next generation discovers their identity in Christ and grows in purpose.

Ministry 04 · Children

Children's Church

We want to ensure that children learn and grow to love God and one another in a comfortable environment — a safe, positive, and age-appropriate space free of fear and prejudice, where children come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour and discover God's purpose for their lives.

Ministry 05 · Worship

Choir & Worship Team

The choir and worship team lead the congregation into the presence of God each week through anointed music, praise, and worship. They meet every Saturday from 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM for rehearsals followed by intercession prayers.
